This lakefront property was a dream to work on. The clients wanted something that felt open and airy but still gave them privacy from the busy street behind. We played with these long horizontal lines and big glass panels to capture those lake views - honestly, the sunset from the living room is unreal.

The whole structure sits on a passive geothermal system, which keeps heating costs super low. We also integrated a green roof that's become this little urban habitat - we've spotted birds up there that haven't been seen in the area for years. The cedar cladding will age beautifully over time, getting that nice weathered look.

Verde was all about pushing what a commercial tower could be in terms of sustainability. The client wanted LEED Platinum, and we delivered that - but we also wanted to create spaces people actually enjoy working in. That was the real challenge.

We designed these cascading terraces that wrap around the building every few floors. They're not just for show - they provide natural ventilation, reduce heat gain, and give employees actual outdoor break spaces. The facade uses smart glass that adjusts its tint based on sun exposure, cutting cooling costs by about 40%. Plus, we collected rainwater for the building's irrigation and toilet systems.

This project was about reclaiming underutilized waterfront space and turning it into something the community could actually use. The site was basically a concrete wasteland before - parking lots and old industrial stuff that'd been sitting there for decades.

We created this flowing public plaza with native plantings, water features that reference Lake Ontario's natural shoreline, and flexible gathering spaces. There's an amphitheater for summer concerts, play areas for kids, and quiet spots where you can just sit and watch the water.
